Tidva Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026
Tidva helps separated parents organise shared parenting calmly and fairly. This policy explains what data Tidva uses, how it is stored, and how users can ask questions or request deletion.
Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to Tidva - Shared Parenting on Android and to family members who create an account, join a family, send messages, add shared records, or receive notifications.
What data Tidva uses
Tidva uses account details such as name and email address, family membership details, child profiles, calendar events, holiday requests, expenses, updates, contacts, wishlist items, documents metadata, message content, and device push tokens for notifications.
How data is used
Tidva uses this data to sign users in, link them to the correct family, show shared parenting information across approved family members, sync updates between devices, and send notifications about messages and holiday requests.
How data is stored
Tidva stores shared family data in Supabase so approved family members can access the same information. The app also stores a local device copy using Hive for faster loading and limited offline use. Push notifications use Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Who data is shared with
Tidva shares family data only with approved members of the same family based on their role and permissions. Tidva also uses service providers needed to run the app, including Supabase for backend services and Firebase for push notifications.
Children's information
Tidva allows parents to store child-related information such as names, dates of birth, school details, medical notes, updates, and planning records. This information is intended only for approved family members with access to that family.
Security
Tidva uses authenticated accounts, family membership checks, role-based permissions, and row-level security in Supabase to help prevent unauthorised access. Users should still protect their own devices, passwords, and email accounts.
Data retention and deletion
Tidva keeps data while the family account remains active unless deletion is requested. Users can use the in-app delete account option or submit a request at https://tidva.com/delete-account.html.
